Independence Wharf

Join your community at Independence Wharf to help plant, maintain and harvest the rooftop garden! Learn how to grow-your-own with professional assistance from our Green City Growers’ urban farmer! Teaming up with participants, our farmer guides the volunteers in managing Independence Wharf's Rooftop Garden. Participants help to decide what will be planted in season and are welcomed to take home the produce after it is harvested. Food that isn't taken by volunteers goes to Lovin' Spoonfuls and is distributed to communities in need. We welcome anyone to join the program for a lunch break, brief visit or the full hour that our farmer is on site. You decide how active you would like to be in watering, harvesting, planting or weeding. Learn from our farmers how to grow-your-own fresh produce!
