From Fenway Farms to Whole Foods, and school garden programs throughout Greater Boston, we’ve got a good thing growing here at Green City Growers!
Last week, we announced to our current clients the opportunity to invest in GCG, and in the Boston urban agricultural movement, through a form of crowdfunding known as a direct public offering. We are very excited to be offering this new opportunity to all Massachusetts residents to support our efforts to build a better food system in the region’s urban areas. View the video above, and visit www.greencitygrowers.com/invest for more information!
We’re thrilled to announce the opening of a new garden atAssembly Row. The garden will provide produce to River Bar and Papagayo, serve as a corporate wellness site for SmartBear Software, and host ASSEMBLY gROWs, a monthly neighborhood garden education program.
Want to learn more about how the GCG farms are built? On Tuesday, July 21st, we will be hosting an event for those interested in our Community Investment Campaign. Join us at GCG Headquarters and help contribute to the growing movement in Boston urban agriculture. RSVP now!
We are hiring! Interested in working in the exciting and growing field of urban agriculture? GCG is currently looking for interns in our horticulture, educational, and business development teams. Visit our website for more information, and apply today at jobs@greencitygrowers.com
Our interns Corie and Haley have been cooking up a storm with all the produce from our garden at GCG headquarters! Check out our blog for some summer inspiration, like these vegan stuffed squash blossoms, which we served with a tomato and olive salad. Happy cooking!
GCG has partnered with Himmel Hospitality and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care to bring garden education programs to four of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston! It is an inspiring time to be working to promote garden education programs, and we owe so much to our many partners.
The positively paleolithic Fenway Farms is yielding so much produce that the chefs at Fenway are using the vegetables in almost every kitchen in the park. Look for a Fenway Farms Kale Salad at ground-level concessions. And make sure to check out our Facebook album for updates!
