Last week, we installed a chicken coop at Goddard House Assisted Living in Brookline! Though chicken-keeping is typically only allowed in private residences, a special permit was granted for this first-of-its-kind project. In addition to our typical vegetable garden maintenance and education sessions at Goddard House, it is our hope that these new poultry will be therapeutic and enjoyable to residents and staff, alike!

After a number of huge harvests of spring crops at Fenway Farms, we are officially transitioning into summer! Soon, Red Sox Nation will see peppers, eggplants, tomatoes and more growing off America’s most beloved ballpark!
Erik, our director of operations, spent the past year developing this fully modular product, designed to make transitioning between seasons as easy as possible! We’re excited to announce their installation at several sites this month.
We are very pleased to announce our largest round of funding since inception. With this infusion of capital, GCG will be boosting operations efficiency, increasing marketing expenditures, and continuing to farm anywhere the sun shines!
GCG is partnering with Post 390 and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care to bring garden education programming to four of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston! It is an inspiring time to be working to promote garden education programs, and we owe so much to our many partners.
Each week, we’ll be uploading new photos onto Facebook to let you know “What’s Growin’ On at GCG!” If you don’t already follow us, make sure to like us to get updates about all the exciting builds and installations happening around our awesome city.
