Differentiate your property by providing on-site food production and engagement as a tenant amenity. Draw tenants outside to plant, maintain, and harvest organic produce from your building’s on-site farm or garden. Green City Growers’ tenant wellness gardens for residential, mixed-use, and commercial properties will enhance your building’s sustainability, improve tenant health and wellness, attract and retain happy clients, give back to the local community, and garner positive press.
According to CBRE, a landlord can charge 10 to 15 percent more for an NYC office space with an outdoor area. “In a market with 450 million square feet of office space to choose from,” he added, “it’s a way of creating differentiation.”

CUSTOMIZED INFRASTRUCTURE
The needs and desires of each property are different, therefore no two GCG farms or programs are the same. We provide a variety of garden and farm infrastructure options and education sessions to fit your schedule. Be it ground level or rooftop growing, GCG can create a stunning and functional landscape that suits your space. Organic maintenance services ensure a bountiful, beautiful yield throughout the growing season. Our professional farming and horticultural staff will ensure your garden looks great, and that tenants are engaged.
HANDS-ON ENGAGEMENT
GCG farmers are horticulture experts and passionate educators who teach all skill levels in a relatable way. Programming combines hands-on farming tasks, group discussions, and direct instruction. We teach people to grow their own food at home or in their community. Tenants will learn best practices for growing delicious vegetable and fruit crops and gain a greater understanding of what healthy eating really means.
FOOD DISTRIBUTION
Produce grown can be distributed in variety of ways, all of which are facilitated by GCG. Many companies choose to send the produce home with participants, while others donate to the local food rescue organizations we partner with. We can also work with your food service provider to integrate harvested produce in to the dining offerings at your building, or work with an independent on-site restaurant. More than one option can be chosen for your property.
“GCG has been a fabulous amenity for our properties. It enhances our residents’ sense of community, enables interactions between residents, and connects our residents with the natural world around them. Resident events and activities have become a top priority for ND Communities and are some of the main reasons why prospects lease with us and renew year over year.”
