GCG’s 2020 Company Impact

Due to COVID, this year’s social impact stats look a little different from past years. We sent a lot more produce to food banks than we ever have, and while we saw a reduction in our overall number of customers, we were able to grow a significant amount of organic produce none the less. We are so thankful we were able to carry on our mission and provide people with engagement opportunities, even if we weren’t all out in the gardens together. Here are some of our statistics from this year we are proud to announce. Thank you to all who were a part of these impactful contributions.

This Growing Season we donated well over 10,000 pounds of fresh local produce to families in need. We are proud to partner with Lovin’ Spoonfulsa local food rescue organization that distributes our organic produce to families in need through donations directly to the communities. This growing season our donations to Lovin’ Spoonfuls specifically went to Catholic Charities SomervilleMargaret Fuller House, and Cambridge Community Center. Fenway Farms donations also went to  Lovin’ Spoonfuls, and benefited the Lifeboat Food Pantry at Boston Temple Church. In Smithfield, RI, Decotis Farm’s donations went to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. We are proud to contribute to these wonderful organization tackling food insecurity, and we will continue to support our communities through these hard times.

Thank you for your support! We couldn’t do it without you.
